Job SKILLS & Job Readiness Training Program
Bike Works offers a Job Skills Training (JST) and Job Readiness Training (JRT) program for high school students and young adults. Students spend part of their school day with us and learn bicycle mechanic skills as well as job skills that will allow them to be better prepared for future employment. Youth who successfully complete the program are also eligible to apply for paid summer apprenticeships at Bike Works.
Current JRT (4 weeks) partner: Interagency Academy
Current JST (12 weeks) partner: Youth Force: Boys & Girls Club of King County
We offers opportunities for Advanced Earn-A-Bike graduates and youth from Job Skills & Job Readiness programs to work alongside instructors and mechanics on our BikeMobile while preparing themselves for possible work in the bicycle industry.
