What are drop ins?
Participants will practice their bike repair skills, earn community service hours, have access to our stands & tools to occasionally work on their own projects, and have progressive opportunities to teach and mentor as they engage. Come to learn new mechanic skills, practice old skills, work towards earning a bike or parts for a bike, or just say what’s up and hangout! As in our Earn-A-Bike program, youth are rewarded for their hard work by earning bikes and parts as they log more hours.
Who are drop-ins for?
For new participants and alumni! Drop-In hours are on Saturday afternoons in our classroom space. You do not need a prerequisite to attend Drop-Ins. Drop-Ins are open to anybody 12-24 who is interested in being a youth programs participant at Bike Works and will comply with our community agreements based in respect and safety.
How can I sign up?
In order to attend drop-ins you MUST have submitted a completed digital med form in the past 12 months. Then you can sign up on our calendar here.
