For the second year in a row, the Redmond Cycling Club is partnering with Bike Works to hold a bike drive at this year’s RAMROD Packet Pick up Day on Sunday, July 21st from noon until 4pm at Element Cycles, located at 8215 160th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052. They invite you to drop off your used bicycles, bicycle parts & accessories. Bike Works staff will be onsite at the RAMROD Packet Pick up Day to accept your donations and answer any questions you might have.
Your unwanted bikes are Bike Works’ treasures! Interesting in learning where a bicycle goes after it’s been donated to Bike Works? They are either refurbished and given new life by their Recycle and Reuse Team to be sold in their Community Bike Shop at an affordable price, or refurbished by youth and adults to be given away to others in the community. Watch this video to find out more.
Drink wine for Bike Works! Eleven Winery will donate 100% of glass pours and tasting fees and 10% of all bottle purchases to Bike Works. This event will be held at the Winery location only, where we’ll also be accepting bike donations, so bring those bikes you don’t need anymore!
There will be a live Caribbean fusion music from Malo Castro Duo, a raffle, tasty snacks, and lots of great people to geek out about bikes and social justice with!
Want to ride with us to the winery? Meet up with us at any of the following stops:
We’ll convene at Good Egg for free coffee (thank you, Good Egg!), then ride with Bike Works board members and winemaker Matt Albee to the winery. All abilities are welcome with a “cruisers” and a “crushers” route.
Crushers – hilly and challenging with some gravel sections: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/30402696

This year, through our partnership with Urban Artworks, we’ll have an interactive arts and mural activity for youth to participate in, as well as performances from a diverse group of musicians from Northwest Folklife before the film.
Music & public art start at 6 PM, the movie starts at 8:15 PM.
