Bikecitement! 2024: dreamCycle

“a theme celebrating dreams where anything is possible”

A big THANK YOU to everyone who was part of Bike Works’ 22nd annual Bikecitement! Your passion, generosity, and willingness to dream with us made this event a truly special celebration of cycling and community. Collectively, we raised $111,466 during the paddle raise. With ticket sales, sponsorships, raffle tickets, dessert dash, and “Eds or Tails,” our fundraising total comes to over $300,000 to support the community of belonging we are building together.

Check out the words of inspiration and action from community member Edna Sadberry and Bike Works Executive Director Ed Ewing, captured by Michael B. Maine, below. You can find all of the speeches from the event on our YouTube channel.

We want to know more about your experience! Please take two minutes to share your thoughts in our post-event survey.

Thank you to DJ Blendiana Jones for mixing up the evenings soundtrack, ensuring each moment had the perfect musical accompaniment, to Rain City Catering for hosting and feeding us, to Georgetown Brewing & Eleven Winery for providing beer and wine, to Lena Kabeshita, Edna Sadberry, and Luis Rodriguez for sharing their personal stories, to Ed Ewing for centering us all around the bicycle as a vehicle for change.

We are recruiting sponsors to make our community events possible this year, including Bikecitement! Annual sponsors from $1,000 to $100,000+ receive the same amazing visibility benefits in all of our event materials throughout the year, plus a digital ad and tickets to Bikecitement!, social media shout-outs, group volunteering opportunities, and an invitation to participate in equity-focused conversations with other sponsors. Please contact Paige if you are interested in becoming an event sponsor.
