Warehouse & classrooms
The Recycle & Reuse team pick up bicycle donations from our various drop-off sites throughout the county, diverting thousands of pounds from the waste stream each year, and getting bikes back on the road. The warehouse is open every other Saturday to the public to shop for parts & “as-is” bikes, and every other Saturday for adults to use our tools with the help of a professional mechanic.

🚨Recology’s bike donation program is currently on hold - we’re sorry, but bikes dropped off at transfer stations or Recology stores are not currently coming to Bike Works. We are now formally accepting donations at our warehouse Mon-Fri 11 AM - 5 PM. Thanks for understanding and please help us spread the word. #werehaus #bikeshop #bikedonations #bikeworks206
Huge thanks to the employees of @boeing puget sound who donated to the employee community fund this year! Through their support, our Recycle & Reuse team was able to purchase a quality used Dodge Ram 3500 to pick up bikes twice weekly from @recologykingcounty’s Material Recovery Facility. This team processes over 7,000 bike donations annually which wouldn’t be possible without partners like these and hundreds of bike donors. ❤️🚴🏾♀️✈️♻️ #boeinginspires #werehaus
(UPDATE: Sold!) We can’t take our eyes off this incredible vintage Davidson, which came donated with all the matching Dura-Ace bits 😍 Don’t take our word for it, come check out this bike for yourself! Size 48cm, available for test ride in the shop

As a mostly refurbished bike shop, we definitely haven’t been hit as hard as others during this bicycle part shortage, but we’ve still felt the pinch when trying to source the essentials like shifters and cassettes for our builds. However, we were able to snag a couple of these S-Ride 8 speed drivetrains, and boy, it sure feels nice to build up some fun modern commuters! This Trek Antelope 830 feels both fast and furious 😍 Frame size 16.5” available to test ride in the shop!

The Recycle and Reuse team has been hard at work all summer refurbishing bikes, but sometimes, it’s nice to slow down and go a little over-the-top for a frame with a paint job like this! Stacked with as many anodized and old-school Dura-Ace bits as we could find, this 1989 Nishiki Modulus rides as good as it looks. 54cm frame, available for test ride in the shop! Update: SOLD

Check out the most recent post on our blog about 4 high school students who are volunteering by picking up, fixing up, and dropping off bike donations to us!
In the words of Interlake junior Isaac, "it only takes a little bit of work to make others really happy." They've donated a dozen bikes and counting so far - that's plenty of new bike smiles in the community!
Huge thanks to Isaac, Ashton, Tyler, & Alex for their hard work. Reminder - we accept any and all donations of bikes, parts, & accessories regardless of quality or value.
