Shipping
We are now shipping all swag/gift items through our web store! Order hoodies, mugs, water bottles, home mechanic gift packages, or Frameworks, and we’ll ship them to your home. All other orders require in-store pick-up.
While our Bike Shop should be able to meet most of your bicycling needs, we also have a variety of used parts and a small selection of untouched “as-is” used bicycles for sale just one block away in our Warehouse, the hub of Bike Works’ Recycle & Reuse efforts.
This Sunday 4/3! “Tour de Fleurs,” an alleycat-style bike ride in celebration of spring. You choose the route - dirt/gravel options available but not required. Prizes for fast AND slow riders. Jovial challenges & checkpoints based on non-bike related talent & luck. Bring your dog! Dress up in your springiest floweriest finest. Foods & drinks at the shop to follow. Not to overhype it but this is sure to be the most fun you’ve ever had. Optional donations support @nurturingrootsfarm, a Black woman-led farming program in our community. #bikeshop #seabikes #bikeworks206 #cookiethedog
“I wanted to send you a big thanks for helping me create the touring bike I knew I needed but could never find. I picked her up, headed down to Seward Park for a ride with partner Matt and his dad, and rode her into my office in Fremont. As I hoped, she feels great going up hills, and has more grip to handle wet roads. I see a long, happy relationship in our future.
I was joking to @kellenrack that the frame color made me think of @kexp, and he suggested ‘Sonic Transport’ as her name which I quite like. Her blue handle bars also feel like a nice nod to Bike Works. Matt and I rode Chilly Hilly [@cascadebicycle] with a friend this weekend and she was a total champ up those damp hills. Very glad to have her!" #customerappreciation #custombikebuild #touringbike #seabikes #bikeworks206 #bikeshop

Listen up y’all! 📢 Starting next week, our shop will be CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS! If you haven’t filled out the “Seattle Pedalers Looking for Action to Inform” (S.P.L.A.I.N.) survey by @feelsonwheelsss, there’s still time! Help create data to inform how local bike shops can create gender-inclusive spaces & safe communities for all 🌈🚴🏾♀️

What is SPLAIN?
A biennial survey of Seattle cyclists identifying as trans, transgender, two-spirit, women, intersex, non-binary, genderqueer & gender nonconforming (TWIG) to understand their relative experience of comfort in local bike shops.
What's the survey?
Participants rate their comfort within bike shops from 1 (uncomfortable) to 5 (comfortable) and can also describe their experience in paragraph form. A voluntary demographic section is new to the survey in 2021.
Why participate?
The 2019 survey had 90 participants and ignited a healthy conversation about how people outside cisgender masculinity experience the bike shop environment. Let's keep the conversation rolling, share our experiences & make the community safer.
