Bikecitement!
Annual Fundraising Dinner & Auction
Sunday October 11, 2020
Our very first virtual fundraising dinner & auction, Bikecitement!, was a huge success. The generosity of our community blew us away, especially in the context of this very challenging year. Together, we raised $276,525 to support Bike Works and promote the bicycle as a vehicle for change.
Couldn’t make it? You can still invest in the bicycle as a tool for tool of strength, peace, joy, transformation, and community by making a gift in lieu of attending.
The livestream is up on our YouTube page!
Speakers this year included Doc Wilson, Executive Director of the Peace Peloton on the bicycle as a vehicle of protest and community organizing; Alesia Cannady, Executive Director/CEO of Women United Seattle on the bicycle as a vehicle for transportation and independence; and two young siblings, Blake & Maita, who have signed up for every class, club, and camp that Bike Works offers through their youth programming on the bicycle as a vehicle for growth and joy.
