Q. What sorts of bikes and bike parts, etc. can I donate to Bike Works?
A. Whole bicycles, miscellaneous parts, bike frames, and accessories/gear.
 Q. Where and when can I bring my donations by?
A. Bike Works accepts donations through our Columbia City shop front during our open business hours which are:
- Tuesday through Friday, 12 to 6pm
- Saturday, 11am to 6pm
- Sunday, 11am to 5pm
- CLOSED Monday
Bike Works also partners with CleanScapes - socially responsible streetscape management and waste reduction, recycling and collection services. Drop off any bicycles you'd like to donate to Bike Works at the North, South, or Shoreline Transfer Stations. These bicycle dumpsters will be brought to Bike Works by CleanScapes and be incorporated into our programs. More information on this partnership can be found here.
PLEASE, do not drop off your donations before or after the shop’s open hours. We like to have each of our donors sign our log book. By signing our donation log book we are able to receive a tax deductible receipt.
Q. Can I get a receipt for a tax deduction for my bike and bike parts, etc. donation?
A. Yes! When dropping off your donations in the shop, you have the choice of signing our donation book and receiving a tax deductible receipt.
Q. How do I know if Bike Works will accept my donation?
A. Bike Works has many different outlets for redistributing incoming bicycle donations, etc. – check out this diagram. Bike Works will accept almost everything bicycle-related as long as it is still in usable condition. Please call with any questions: 206.725.9408, ext. 3.
