FAMILYBIKE SEATTLE ANNOUNCEMENT
Bike Works is pleased to announce the re-launch of Familybike Seattle, a budding non-profit that will engage and support Seattle families in getting around town by bicycle. Familybike, started by current Bike Works Family Biking Specialist, Morgan Scherer, will continue the family biking programming that was started six years ago - and was incorporated into the programming of Bike Works in the spring of 2012.
Thanks to Bike Works, Familybike has found new energy and is re-launching in April with a full suite of programs that support families in every step of their journey from curious to enthused! Familybike will continue to have a low cost rental program for family bikes, Family Bike Expos, seminars, and community-building Kidical Mass Rides. Some of these events will continue in tandem with Bike Works, but Familybike Seattle and Morgan will be at the helm for all of this work as it continues to grow. We are excited to support Familybike Seattle as it takes off on its own again in the Spring of 2013 – let’s bike together!
